TRANSPORT.


Exploring Mars is going to be very exciting, buy for now, it's easier to explore our own planet! In particular, London.
He leaves his bike at the station and gets on a train. Trains travel into London from all over the country. They are vey important for people who live in the suburbs or outside London and travel into London for work. 1.8 million people travel into the centre of London by train every day.

The next part of Freddie's jouney is on another kind of train called the Docklands Light Railway.
the different kinds of transport link up pretty well buy sometimes you have to walk from one point in the journey to the next.

People use lots of other forms of transport in London. Some people use boats on the River Thames to go to work.
there is one kind of transport that isn't very good in London- and that's the car. They move very slowly because there is too much traffic.
So that was today. what's Freddie doing tomorrow? He's doing the same journey all over again to find out more.

BRITISH SPORTS.

At the weekend in Britain, millions of people take part in some kind of sporting activity.
Even more people spend part of the weekend watching sport-especially football. The top level of the games is professional in the Premiership. Football is played in schools and as leisure activity. Both girls and boys play.
Cricket is the main summer sport in Britain. Local teams play in towns and villages every Saturday and Sunday from April to September.
Cricket is played between two teams of 11 people.
Tennis is another popular sport, especially in the summer after the famous Wimbledon championships. there are tennis courts all over Britain.
Other popular sports are golf, swimming, cycling, keep fit and walking. But there is no dubt that for most people football is the national sport.
